Why choose Aston+Hayes?

We are a highly reputable and experienced training centre for personal stylists and image consultants with an accent on fashion. We are recognised for offering the most up-to-date training, and for bringing together the separate worlds of image consulting, and fashion.

 

Who are the Aston+Hayes trainers?
The Aston+Hayes training team is led by director Jennifer Aston and includes high-calibre experienced professionals from the worlds of image consulting, fashion styling, and retail. They include Jocasta Heap, Pippa Rees, Léonie Tovell, Sue Donnelly, Amanda Slader, and Michelle Duguid (Vogue). All our trainers are successful in their own fields which guarantees that the training you receive is relevant and current.


What size are the classes?

Our classes are small so you get individual attention as well as the benefits of working in a group. All courses have a maximum of six, except 'Consulting for Corporate' which has a maximum of four.


Can I visit Aston+Hayes in person before training?
We are always happy to meet you in person. You can attend one of our regular Open Events (please see timetable) or make an individual appointment. Simply email or call us on telephone +44 (0) 20 7751 1181.

Can I speak to Personal Stylists who have already trained with Aston+Hayes?

Yes we can put you in touch with Personal Stylists who will be happy to speak to you about their training experience with Aston+Hayes.

Can I offer my services immediately after training?
As Aston+Hayes courses are designed for professionals who want to work with paying clients, you need no further training before you start charging for you services. However, you will need a practice period with family and friends to become fluent and confident in your new knowledge and skills.

Do I have any commitments to Aston+Hayes after training?
None at all. We are a business-to-business specialist skills provider, not a franchise. After training you have on-going support from us as required, but you also enjoy complete business flexibility and freedom.


Can I become a member of ASIP after training?

Yes we recommend you join ASIP, The Association of Stylists and Image Professionals. As well as demonstrating your commitment to the styling industry, you will enjoy many member benefits including a listing in the on-line directory, use of the logo, and being invited to attend ASIP events. www.asiplondon.com


Do I need to buy any equipment?

To carry out colour consultations, you will need to purchase the specialist ColourKit, available from Image Productions International (IPI) at www.image-products.com


How do I obtain aids for my clients?

IPI also offer additional visual aids, props and client style aide mémoire via Amazon with no obligation or minimum purchase.

Do I need to buy any make-up?
If you would like to stock or sell make-up as part of your business, we can suggest some make-up and skin care ranges, and advise you on the business options available. On the Aston+Hayes make-up course, you work with Shu Uemera, Mac, and Bobbi Brown.

How do I enroll on a course?
Simply let us know by phone or e-mail which course you would like to take and, we’ll set everything in motion.

When and how do I pay?

Your course place is confirmed when you make a deposit payment, and the remainder of the fee is due twenty-one days before the first training day. There is an early booking discount available for the Complete Image, Fashion and Styling Course - please see timetable. Payments can be make by cheque or on-line banking.

How does Aston+Hayes support me?
We take an continuing interest in your progress and are personally available to you by phone or email during office hours on an ongoing basis.
